LORE

man please just read the manga or watch one piece yourself i am NOT typing all 1000 episodes out.

not gonna lie when i first had gotten into one piece about 4 years ago instead of zoro i was madly in love with luffy. his goofy and silly personality appealed to me in my depressed state. but when i came back to this show 2 years later....? oh man. i realized how much of a hunk fucking zoro was and how wife-like he is. he became one of my biggest comfort characters. there is no doubt in my mind that zoro is possibly the most perfect man i have ever come to known in existance. he's simple, loyal, works hard, and doesn't fuck around. while his strength is incredible and something to be in awe of, i will always take extra care noting zoro's overlooked personality and growth as a character. the moss ball has grown on me in a way that i cannot help but to adore.

a lot of one piece fans love to write zoro off as bland, horribly-written character with no growth however, i think similar to actual marimos, zoro has grown just not in a particularly fast pace. common criticism claims him to be horribly-written but what i think they mean to say is that he just isn't complex. he doesn't have a particularly horrible backstory, nor does he possess a devil fruit power, but something about his simplicity is stabilizing and comforting to me. zoro is a funny, caring, and powerful man who takes great care in making sure his crewmates are safe. he has always put people's safety before his despite his cocky nature.

call me delusional, but i wholeheartedly believe that had zoro and i existed in the same medium we would be a perfect match. of course and people always say oh he doesn't care about romance, he only works out, etc etc and i can't help but to feel like that's not true. while maybe having a significant other for him isn't important there's no doubt in my mind he wouldn't be caring towards them. seeing the sacrifices and care he gives his crewmates? he doesn't work out just to work out. he works out and pushes himself to extreme limits so he can be strong for the people he cares for and i know that would be given to a significant other. nonetheless, with his flaws (that i'm very aware of LMFAO) i love him very dearly and i honestly don't think a man comes close to how much i love zoro for my people who were around during my mello era sorry but zoro has beat him out of first place.

i just know that zoro wouldn't waste my time or fuck around, because that's not in his nature. i believe he is the perfect example of my taste in men. he ultimately defines it and unforturnately, unless zoro was a real man, this type is not easily found in the physical. had zoro been a deity, i would of been his most devoted follower. had zoro been the moon, i would of been the tide reaching up to grasp him each night. had zoro been real and i had been a fictional character of a popular series, i would hope that he would see me the same way i see him. if in this world the only way for me and zoro to interact is for me to watch and adore him through the context of a fictional world, so be it.

i can only appreciate and adore zoro for the happiness and serenity he gives me and continue building my irl zoro shrine erm. i would light his cigarettes, pour his sake for him, count his reps, and dress his wounds. i would do anything to ensure his peace and quiet isn't disturbed. i'm very grateful for zoro's existence and cannot wait for the more content we get of him.
